Winter Haven has long been a hub of economic
activity. New development along the US Highway 27 Corridor
to the east provides Winter Haven homeowners a commuting option,
however, the city continues to offer a wide variety of retail
light industry, health care, retirement and tourism and service
oriented employment opportunity.
Recently, the consolidation of the State
Farm Insurance company's regional headquarters near Winter
Haven served to increase the available employment outlook for
Winter Haven's residents. Other companies, including Sherwin
Williams, Wal-Mart, and Scotty's all have
large distribution centers in the area, providing still greater
opportunity for Winter Haven's homeowners. |
